Dragon Ball Z Match Makers Android 16 vs Cell: Figure Comparison

Quick answer

Buy the Dragon Ball Z Match Makers Android 16 VS Cell if you want a ready-made versus scene in one box and have about 17 cm of display height. Skip it if you collect single characters at larger scales or prefer to build your own pairings.

What the Match Makers format changes for a versus display

The Match Makers line is built around a specific matchup rather than a solo hero pose. Here the edition is Android 16 VS Cell, so the two characters are meant to be read together as one scene. That saves you the work of sourcing two separate figures that share scale and styling, but it also means the pair is sold as a single display decision.

At roughly 17 cm tall, this is a shelf-scale piece rather than a centerpiece statue. It fits comfortably on a standard bookshelf or desk riser, and the compact size makes it easy to place without a dedicated display case. The trade-off is presence: a 17 cm versus scene reads as a detail on a crowded shelf, not as the room's focal point.

Where the versus concept helps, and where it limits you

A paired matchup is ideal if your Dragon Ball shelf is organized by story arcs or rivalries. You get an instant narrative beat without hunting for a compatible second figure. The limitation is flexibility: if you later want to display Android 16 alone or swap Cell for another villain, the composition may look incomplete because the edition is designed as a pair.

The catalog also does not list interchangeable parts, bases, or option sets for this release. Treat it as a fixed display piece. If pose customization or swappable accessories matter to you, that is a reason to look at a different product rather than assume this one offers it.

Price positioning against a solo figure purchase

At USD 19.53 against a catalog comparison price of USD 31.00, the pair sits in budget territory for a two-character scene. The honest trade-off is that a versus set at this price point is a display convenience, not a premium finish piece. If you are choosing between this and a single larger figure, decide whether you value the matchup composition or the individual character's presence more.

Match Makers trade-offs to weigh

• One-box scene vs. solo flexibility: The Android 16 VS Cell edition gives you a complete matchup immediately, but it is not designed to be split into two independent displays. Choose it if you want the rivalry read at a glance. Plan shelf space for the pair, not for two separate figures.
• Compact 17 cm scale vs. shelf presence: The approximate 17 cm height keeps the piece easy to place on standard shelving, but it will not dominate a large display area. Use a riser or a tighter shelf zone to keep it readable.
• Budget pair vs. premium single figure: At USD 19.53 with a USD 31.00 comparison price, the set is priced as an accessible two-character display. If you want a larger statement piece, a single-figure purchase is the better fit. Decide between matchup composition and individual scale before ordering.
