Quick answer

Display your Banpresto Grandista My Hero Academia figure on a stable, eye-level shelf away from direct sunlight, and use the included stand to keep it secure. Follow the steps below for a clean, safe, and impressive setup.

Why placement matters for your Grandista figure

The Banpresto Grandista format is designed to be display-forward, with bold silhouettes and detailed costumes. Katsuki Bakugo's explosive pose and dynamic outfit deserve a spot where they can be appreciated without obstruction. Considering the figure's size and presence, choosing the right location on your shelf is key to making it stand out.

Avoid placing the figure near windows or direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure can cause colors to fade and materials to degrade. Similarly, keep it away from heat sources and high-humidity areas like bathrooms or kitchens, as these can affect the figure's stability and appearance over time.

Trade-offs: using the included stand vs. displaying without it

The Grandista figure may come with a support stand to help maintain balance, especially given its dynamic pose. While some collectors prefer a cleaner look without the stand, using it is often necessary to prevent leaning or tipping. If you choose to display without the stand, ensure the figure is on a flat, stable surface and that its base is fully supported.

If you decide to use the stand, position it discreetly behind the figure to minimize visual impact. This keeps the figure secure while maintaining the display's aesthetic.

Step-by-step display guide

Choose a stable, eye-level shelf: Pick a shelf that is sturdy and at a height where the figure is easily visible. Avoid high shelves where it might be overlooked or low ones where it could be knocked over. Ensure the shelf can support the figure's weight and is not in a high-traffic area.
Place the figure on a flat, clean surface: Dust the shelf area before placing the figure. Check that the base is fully flat against the surface to prevent wobbling. If the figure has a support stand, attach it securely according to the instructions. A clean, level base prevents scratches on the figure and reduces the risk of tipping.
Position the figure away from sunlight and heat: Keep the figure out of direct sunlight and away from radiators or vents. Ultraviolet light can fade colors, and heat can warp plastic over time. Rotate the figure periodically if it's in a spot with changing light to ensure even exposure.
Use the included stand for stability: If the figure comes with a support stand, use it. Position it so it's not too noticeable but provides the necessary balance, especially if the figure has a dynamic pose. Check that the stand is firmly attached and the figure is level on the shelf.
Clean gently with a soft cloth: Dust the figure regularly using a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For stubborn dust, use a soft brush or compressed air. Avoid water and cleaning chemicals that can damage the paint. Clean the figure every few weeks to keep it looking its best.
Check stability periodically: Every month, gently check that the figure is still secure on its stand or base. Look for any signs of leaning or wobbling and adjust as needed. Early detection of instability can prevent falls and damage.
