Bakugo vs Giulio Gandini: My Hero Academia Banpresto Figures

Two different My Hero Academia eras on one shelf

If you are choosing between Banpresto's Katsuki Bakugo Post-Final War figure and the Giulio Gandini figure from My Hero Academia: You're Next, you are not comparing two versions of the same character. You are comparing a main-series hero in his postwar costume with a movie-specific character in a formal suit. That distinction drives every practical difference between them, from height to display role.

The Bakugo figure stands approximately 22 cm tall, while the Giulio Gandini figure is approximately 17 cm tall. Both are painted, non-articulated collectibles intended for display, and both contain small parts. Beyond those shared traits, the choice comes down to which character era you want to anchor your display and how much shelf height you can give it.

Height and scale: what the catalog confirms

• Banpresto My Hero Academia Katsuki Bakugo Post-Final War Figure: Approximate display height: 22 cm At 22 cm, Bakugo is the taller of the two figures, so he will occupy more vertical space and may suit a central or rear position in a multi-figure display.

• Banpresto My Hero Academia The Movie: You're Next Figure Vol.1 Giulio Gandini: Approximate display size: Approx. 17 cm tall At approximately 17 cm, Giulio Gandini is shorter, making him easier to place on a crowded shelf or alongside smaller figures without dominating the arrangement.

Sculpt and costume details that set them apart

• Katsuki Bakugo Post-Final War: The sculpt features his sleeveless black-and-orange costume, metallic shoulder and forearm details, reinforced knee guards, utility belt, and determined battle-worn expression. Facial scars and character-specific colorwork are also noted. This is a battle-ready hero look with layered armor and equipment.
• Giulio Gandini: Shown in a full standing pose with his dark suit, eye covering, and movie-specific mechanical details clearly visible. The design is more formal and mysterious, tied directly to the You're Next film rather than the main series.

Which figure fits your display better?

Choose the Bakugo Post-Final War figure if you want a taller, more detailed hero piece that represents the later My Hero Academia storyline. His 22 cm height and armored costume make him a natural focal point for a shelf dedicated to the main series or to hero characters in battle gear.

Choose the Giulio Gandini figure if you are building a display around My Hero Academia: You're Next or if you prefer a more compact figure with a distinctive formal look. At approximately 17 cm, he works well as a secondary piece or in a movie-themed group where his suit and eye covering add visual contrast.

Both figures are painted and non-articulated, so neither offers poseability. The decision is about character, size, and costume style rather than articulation or accessories.

Materials, warnings, and what the listings confirm

• Banpresto My Hero Academia Katsuki Bakugo Post-Final War Figure: Materials: PVC / ABS. This collectible contains small parts and is intended for display. PVC and ABS are standard materials for collectible figures. The small-parts warning means you should keep the figure out of reach of young children and handle it carefully during setup.
• Banpresto My Hero Academia The Movie: You're Next Figure Vol.1 Giulio Gandini: Package contents: 1 collectible figure with the display parts shown in the product photos. This collectible contains small parts and is intended for display. The listing confirms a single figure with the display parts shown in the photos. Edition and packaging notes before you buy

The Bakugo figure is listed as the Post-Final War edition, and the catalog notes that product appearance, paint finish, and retail packaging may vary slightly between production runs. The Giulio Gandini figure is listed as Vol.1 / Standing Ver., and the exact figure edition and retail packaging are shown in the product photos. Package design may also vary by production region or reissue.

Neither listing supplies a specific age recommendation beyond the small-parts warning, so if you are buying for a child, use your own judgment about whether the figure is appropriate for their age and handling habits. These are collectibles designed for display, not play.
